About the Jackpot

How does it work?

Every other week (or whenever we update this page), PublicSquare Founder, Dean Arnold, teams up with a special guest to select a random property for the Jackpot.

We then offer one lucky homebuyer a life-changing financial boost (the jackpot amount) to help them in securing their first home. The money doesn't have to be paid back to us and the homebuyer can use it however they like (although just keep in min, you may not be able to use it to form your deposit, more info on that below)

Why are we doing this?

When it comes to Australia's housing crisis, there's plenty of talk but not much innovation!

The Jackpot is our way of taking REAL action against the cost of living and housing.

Beyond the money, it's also just a fun way to start a conversation about innovative housing solutions—such as PublicSquare’s Rent-to-Buy and Deposit Stacker initiatives.

What are the rules?

The Jackpot is subject to the following terms and conditions:

✅ First in, first served
You need to be mortgage pre-approved and ready to sign a contract. No delays, no hold-ups. If you’re eligible and act fast, the jackpot could be yours upon settlement/completion of the property.

✅ First homebuyers only
You must be a first or second-time homebuyer planning to live in the property immediately after settlement. If you are an investor, we have other attractive offerings you can explore throughout our website.

✅ Price is fixed
PublicSquare does not inflate prices to cover jackpot amounts. The purchase price is set by the builder, non-negotiable, and identical to what you’d pay if buying through a real estate agent, or directly through the builder.

✅ Not for deposits (usually)
The Jackpot is payable to you within 7 days of settling/completion of the property - Subject to referral fees being paid by the Builder to PublicSquare. Most banks won’t let you use our jackpot bonus as part of your deposit. However, if you really need to, we may be able to structure it by taking a small ownership stake in the property.

✅ No swapsies
The Jackpot applies to the above mentioned property. If the property is already taken by another applicant, sold by the builder, or otherwise removed, it’s gone and we can't provide a replacement. But if you miss out, we can still help you pick a different home for use with our rent to buy property or deposit stacker initiative which also comes with a bonus.

✅ No double-dipping
The Jackpot can be combined with government grants, but it CANNOT be combined with other offers from PublicSquare such as Rent-to-Buy or Deposit Stacker. However, if these options are a better fit for you, then we’ve got you covered.

✅ No guarantees
Although we might get some promotional value out of this, we’re not making a direct profit from it. In fact, it costs us money to run. We do it because we believe in helping homebuyers win. However, because it’s a discretionary offer, we reserve the right to select the most qualified homebuyers, tweak any of the terms and conditions, and withhold, pause, or suspend this offer at anytime for any reason at our sole discretion. By applying for this offer, you agree to all of these terms.

✅ Selfies needed!
If you receive the jackpot, we kindly ask that you let us capture some casual photos and a video of you and your family—or simply send us a few selfie photos and videos. Your images will help us illustrate how PublicSquare’s services benefit homebuyers like you.
