# PublicSquare

> Australia's home of Rent-to-Own and Rent-to-Sell properties. PublicSquare (publicsquare.com.au) is a licensed Australian real estate agency and proptech platform — Queensland licence 4555627, New South Wales licence 10152702 — operating since 2021 and headquartered in Brisbane.

Rent-to-Own, for homebuyers: move into a home now with no deposit and buy it later at a price fixed today. The weekly payment is market rent plus a contribution equal to 50% of first-year rent that builds the deposit; the option to buy opens in years 4 to 8; most buyers refinance into a standard mortgage.

Rent-to-Sell, for investors and landlords: the tenant pays market rent plus a fixed weekly contribution equal to 50% of first-year rent (for example $700/wk becomes $1,050/wk), fixed for a term of up to 8 years; rent is reviewed annually and may rise by up to 4%. The tenant may buy between years 4 and 8 at the higher of a contracted minimum price (a floor growth rate of 4–8% p.a. by exit year) or an independent valuation. Title stays with the owner and the mortgage is unaffected. Contributions are credited to the tenant at settlement.
